Darkness

Dracula - Vortice Dance Company ™

Darkness scares us. We yearn for the comfort of light, as it provides shape and form, allowing us to recognize, to define what's before us. But what is it we're afraid of, really?
Not of the darkness itself, but of the truth we know it hides within.

Choices

What's in store for me

in the direction I don't take?

Friends

Death is but crossing the world, as friends do to the seas -

they live in one another, still

For they must needs be present, that love and live in that which is omnipresent

In this divine glass, they see face to face; and their converse is free, as well as pure

This is the comfort of friends - that though they may be said to die,
yet their friendship and society are, in the best sense,

ever present,

because immortal.

Chaos

Seth, the egyptian god of  deserts, storms, evil and chaos.

He is the strength of the opposite principle, the Yang, the balance that permeates the inner and the greater things.

Good and evil. These forces surrounds the All, expanding or contracting, until their conversion is whole, spontaneous and, therefore, free.

But, indeed,

only light

can permeate darkness

Blessed

And do not think you can send love in its flow

..for love, if it finds you worthy

   it will direct you

The Palace

Era um dos palácios do Minotauro
- O da minha infância para mim o primeiro -
Tinha sido construído no século passado (e pintado a vermelho)

A prata brilhava o vidro luzia
Tudo tilintava tudo estremecia

Wandering Child

Hilfloses Kind, so schwach, so rührend
lass dich von mir, führen

Vater, bist du's, ob Freund, ob Engel
Oder Phantom, zeig dich
Engel komm sprich zu meiner Sehnsucht
komm zu mir her, neig dich

Lang musstest du mich entbehren
Nun aber triffst du mich hier

Will mein Verstand sich auch wehren        Will dein Verstand sich auch wehren
komm ich doch zu dir         kommst du doch zu mir

Engel der Muse, ich war treulos
sah nicht was dich schön macht
Engel der Muse, sei und bleib bloß
nah bei mir mein, Engel

Engel der Muse, du warst treulos
sahst nicht was mich schön macht
Engel der Muse sei ganz scheulos
komm zu mir, mein Engel

Ich bin dein Engel der Muse
Komm zu mir, Engel der Muse

Recovering the Way

And Hansel said to Gretel:

"Let  us  drop  these  breadcrumbs  so  that  together  we  find  our  way  home,  because  losing  our  way  would  be  the  most  cruel  of  things."

This year, I lost my way, and losing your way on a journey is unfortunate, but losing your reason for the journey is a fate more cruel. The journey lasted eight months. Sometimes I traveled alone; sometimes there were others who took the wheel…and took my heart. But when the destination was reached, it wasn’t me who arrived…it wasn’t me at all.

And once you lose yourself, you have two choices.

Find the person you used to be, or lose that person completely.

Because sometimes you have to step outside of the person you’ve been and remember the person you were meant to be — the person you wanted to be — the person you are.

The Doors of Perception

If the doors of perception were cleansed, everything would appear to man as it is

 infinite

For man has closed himself up, till he sees all things through narrow chinks of his cavern

A Knight's Oath

Lady  Godiva  -  John  Collier

A knight is sworn to valor

His heart knows only virtue

His blade defends the helpless

His might upholds the weak

His word speaks only truth

His wrath undoes the wicked

Mental Universe

Thinking of the stars night after night I've began to realize that

"The stars are words",

and all the uncountable worlds of the Milky Way are words

and this world is as so.

And I've realized that it doesn´t matters where I am,

be it in a small room full of ideas or in this infinite Universe of stars and mountains,

all is on my mind.

There is nothing in the world,

except the (Golden Eternity of God's Mind) own Mind.

Found & Lost

Found.

Then lost.

Just words. I will find it.

Masked Ball

There is no privacy that cannot be penetrated

No secret can be kept in the civilized world

Society is a masked ball where everyone hides his real character,

and then reveals it by hiding

Ralph Waldo Emerson

Drama, Drama, Drama

Grace is at the core of tragedy

For, if there is no height of which to drop,
No pride taken in a life lived,
You have nothing to lose

But once in a free fall of disgrace
The only way to change the momentum

Is to use it to your advantage

Far Away, Long Ago

Far away, long ago

Glowing dim as an ember

Things my heart

used to know

Things it yearns to remember

In Memoriam

Be near me when my light is low,
When the blood creeps, and the nerves prick
And tingle; and the heart is sick,
And all the wheels of Being slow.

Be near me when the sensuous frame
Is rack'd with pangs that conquer trust;
And Time, a maniac scattering dust,
And Life, a Fury slinging flame.

Be near me when my faith is dry,
And men the flies of latter spring,
That lay their eggs, and sting and sing
And weave their petty cells and die.

Be near me when I fade away,
To point the term of human strife,
And on the low dark verge of life
The twilight of eternal day.
